Fees and Payment

The terms fee is dependant on the amount of weeks in the term and payment should be made for a whole term.

Classes should be paid for by cash or bank transfer all fees are due by the end of week 1 of term.

Unless arranged with Amanda, fees not received by lesson 2 will result in a late payment charge.

No refunds will be given for classes not attended.

If your child is just starting 2 trial lessons are advised, if you decide not to continue after this time payment may be requested for the lessons attended.

Notice

Half a terms notice must be given to Amanda for stopping class, if notice is not received half a terms fee may still be charged.

Uniform

Once settled into class, uniform must be worn to every lesson. It encourages good self discipline and ensures no restriction to movement.

Hair must be tied up, Buns if possible for ballet and all wispy bits clipped off of the face.

Jewellery must not be worn to class (small stud earrings are acceptable), teachers will not be held responsible for items left at venues.

Uniform should be purchased through AADA, more info and contact numbers for purchasing uniform can be found on the Uniform page.

Watching Week

Parents are not permitted to watch normal weekly classes (unless discussed with the teacher) At the end of term we have a watching day where parents/guardians are invited to watch - cameras and video cameras may be used at this event. These photos may then be used on school notices or in other ways to promote the academy.

Examinations

Students can be entered for Imperial Society Examinations and will be chosen to do so by the descretion of the teacher.

Parents will receive written notice detailing the information and are kindly asked to inform Amanda if they do not wish their child to be entered - an extra exam charge will occur and will still be charged if sufficent notice is not received. Refunds for examinations are not given unless the student can provide a doctors sick note, upon receipt of this a 50% refund towards another exam is given.

All graded examinations are accredited on the national qualifications framework (NQF) and are outlined below:

I.S.T.D. Grade 1 – 3 – NQF Level 1 (equivalent - GCSE grade D-G)

I.S.T.D. Grade 4 – 5 – NQF Level 2 (equivalent - GCSE grade A* - C)

Students who successfully pass Grade 6, Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced 1 or Advanced 2 can gain UCAS points from these examinations for University entrance.

Lost Property

The Academy will not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal property but will however try collect any property left at venues and hold in Lost Property boxes - it will be held at the class venue for the remainder of the term until the Amanda will dispose of any unclaimed items.

Cancellation of Class

Due to unforeseen circumstances a class may need to be cancelled. Should we cancel a class notice will be given as soon as possible and a make up class or a replacement class will be offered. If we can not reschedule the class a credit on the next invoice will be offered.
